Caroline Paterson, CPA, CGA – Partner
Caroline obtained her CGA designation in 2005 and has over 25 years in the accounting field. She enjoys assisting business owners/managers and individuals with their tax planning. She also assists not-for-profits and charities with start-up, reporting and other organizational requirements. Her experience is diverse and includes working with corporations with SRED claims, complex investment portfolios as well as many small business owners who need help with tax and estate planning. Previously Caroline was a partner at our previous firm in Sidney and she continues to assist both existing and new clients. She is also proud to be involved in the local community and is the treasurer for the ORCCA Dental Clinic Society.
Sheila Henn, CPA, CA – Partner
Sheila also has a diverse background which includes working with Not-for-Profit and small public sector audits and reviews as well as working with small business owners. Sheila has her audit license and enjoys working on audits and review engagements for companies, associations, Improvement Districts and other not-for-profits. As well, she oversees the U.S. tax practice as well as preparing and reviewing all levels of Canadian and U.S. personal tax returns. This includes Estate tax for Canadian estates.
Keeping up-to-date (for Canada and US tax) as well as financial reporting changes for Not-for-profits and Public Sector financial statements is important to her. She received her CA designation in 2012 which built on many years of experience with all levels of financial reporting. She is a past board member/treasurer of the Saanich Peninsula Chamber of Commerce (2015-2019). She enjoys sailing around the local gulf islands, cycling the Peninsula or hiking local parks.
Diana Franklin - Accounting Technician
Diana is currently enrolled in the CPA program after completing her Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting Major at Camosun College in October 2014. Diana assists our clients with various bookkeeping training in QBO, Quickbooks and Sage as well as working on audits and year end. She also prepares complex tax returns. She enjoys spending time with her family.
Lindsay Scarborough - Accounting Technician/Tax Preparer
Lindsay has a solid tax knowledge in Estates, Trusts and personal tax return. She prepares complex personal tax returns with complicated investments and also prepares U.S. returns as well as year ends. Lindsay appreciates the delicate nature of Estates and is conscientious in the needs of the executors and beneficiaries. Lindsay has completed her Bachelor of Business Admin from Camosun College.
Alex Beaudoin - Accounting Technician/Tax Preparer
Alex is one of our most recent members of our team, joining Paterson Henn CPA after completing his Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting Major at Camosun College in 2019. Alex is applying his knowledge working on year ends and tax returns. He is looking forward to continue his learning in the CPA program in 2020.
Gladys Riske - Office Manager
Gladys will be the friendly face you see when you come into the office. She assists in our office management, payables and receivables and internal bookkeeping. She assists the partners and staff as well as our clients with the variety of duties to ensure our firm is running smoothly.
Meg Minstrall - Office Administrator
Meg is another friendly face who is at our reception ready to assist you. She assists the partners and staff in a varety of duties. She also works on bookkeeping and other engagements. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting Major from Camosun College.
Georgalea Hendry - Bookkeeper
Georgalea is a part-time bookkeeper for our firm who who works with recurring bookkeeping clients and bookkeeping projects to bring our clients up-to-date with their records. She works with both Quickbooks and Sage 50 (Simply Accounting) and is a conscientious bookkeeper with a solid knowledge in payroll, GST, PST and other requirements.
